There are many reason to use homemade lotions. Today we are going to tell you my top reasons. Homemade lotions are gentle enough for all skin types and they are not full of chemicals like paraben, formaldehyde, and petroleum. A good homemade lotion will also be free from dyes and fragrances (other than pure essential oils). The lotions sold by Butterfly Express meet all of my requirements and I love them. My favorite is LeSego Lily although I like the Carrier Lotion so I can add the oil I am loving that day. Lately I have been using alot of Ylang. LeBaby Me is one that I loved as a mother of young children because it is amazing on diaper rash and I didn't have to worry about the chemicals being rubbed on my child.

Sandalwood essential oil alleviates depression, anxiety, and nervous exhaustion. Some of the many uses of sandalwood include bladder and throat infections, bronchitis, tuberculosis, cystitis, and fluid retention. Sandalwood is an excellent skin and tissue regenerating oil. Sandalwood should probably be part of any program for a chronic type illness. Sandalwood is the favorite essential oil of many people, including me.

Arnica oil is said to cause swelling in exposed muscle tissue, so it is not used on open wounds or deep abrasions except in homeopathic form. Arnica is one of my favorite healing plants and should be in every first aid kit!
