SPECIAL PURCHASE GREEN YARROW (Which is light blue in color)

We have obtained a small quantity of USA grown Green Yarrow. This year's crop of yarrow has a high camphor content, making it a little crisper than what you would usually find associated with the yarrow family. The color, although normally more green and muddy in nature, this year is tending to the blue side. This blue color indicates the presence of a component called azulene which is responsible for many of the wonderful properties of blue yarrow such as wound healing.

It is our belief that this oil would make a great addition to your storage/emergency first aid kits. We are passing this oil on to you for a special purchase price and when supplies are gone, they will be gone for good.

HEALTH TIP: The Healing Effects of Calendula

Calendula oil is a fixed oil. This means that calendula flower blossom petals are placed in almond oil and allowed to infuse for several weeks. At the end of that time, the blossoms are strained off. The result is a wonderful fixed oil that can be used for a variety of things, most importantly for issues pertaining to the skin.

Some of the benefits of using calendula oil include: moisturizing and soothing cracked, dry skin, insect bites, scars, swelling, rashes, and hives; eczema and psoriasis, increases collagen production, leg ulcers and bed sores that won't heal, hemorrhoids.

Calendula is a great oil to use as a carrier oil when you are applying essential oils topically. Using the appropriate essential oil, coupled with the healing properties of calendula fixed oil, will provide you with a "double whamy" of healing.

Some examples: Use with BabyMe for diaper rash or stretch marks. Use with LeAgeLess for a wonderful facial conditioner. Use with LeMelaPlus or LePurify on insect bites. Use with LeDeeper for the pain for shingles; use with helichrysum on recent injuries to prevent or at least minimize scarring.

The benefits of calendula are many. As we head into the spring and summer we will be exposing our skin to more of the damaging elements outside. Be prepared with protect and heal your skin with calendula oil.

The Living Matrix

This living matrix that has some scientists so excited, is a molecular and subatomic network, extending to every cell everywhere in the body. Science has proven that cells within different body systems, can and do communicate cell to cell, without hormones or nervous system involvement, with extreme speed. In fact, every living thing, indeed life itself, depends on the harmonious functioning of all of its various components, every cell, every organ, and every system. The discovery of this amazing, organism- wide, synergistic system is welcome science indeed to those of us who have believed in and worked with this system for years.

The living matrix communication system exists within the connective tissue system of the body. This connective tissue system includes the cells of fascia, ligaments, tendons, bones, and cartilage. Modern science has long recognized that these tissues, found throughout the body, are responsible for the shape and structure of body organs and body systems. Now we know that they are also responsible for communication between organs and systems.

While nerves and hormones have vital roles in communication within a living organism, the connective tissue system has at last been recognized as the basis of a very high speed communication system possessed by every living creature from a simple protozoa to our own very complex and efficient bodies.

The discovery that the connective tissue surrounding any organ or joint communicates instantaneously with connective tissue in every area of the body will (at least it should) alter the way modern medicine views, and treats, the body. As the information reaches textbooks in medical schools and science classrooms, it should change the way energy medicine modalities are viewed. Unfortunately, the inclusion of new research data into textbooks at the medical school and college level usually has a lag-time of at least 15 years. It will be even longer before this science is taught in high schools and the general population hears about it and attitudes toward alternative modalities of healing start to change.

The Living Matrix versus The Central Nervous System

Up until now, when we have thought or been taught about communication within a living system, we have talked about the nervous system, with its neurons, synapses, and pathways. It is now known that the nervous system is just one small part of a comprehensive and system-wide communication network.

It has long been believed that our conscious mind combines the images that our senses are perceiving (what we see, hear, and touch) with the memories stored in the cells of our nervous system to arrive at our perception of things. Perceptions arrived at in this way, it has been believed, become the conscious experience from which we make interpretations of what our lives are from day to day?what is truth and what is reality. This is a little hard to document scientifically, but makes a sound working model for the explanation of sensation, perception, intention, thought, reaction, and movement.

It may be that the nervous system, as we have always understood it, does rule in these areas. However, the repair of injuries?either emotional or physical ones?is being shown to have very little to do with the functioning of the nervous system. The repair of tissues takes place within the cells of the connective tissues, which do not have nerve tissue and cannot, therefore be driven by the nervous system. Healing, even in the case of nerve injuries, is not a function of the nervous system.

There are many other vital processes in the body, besides the repair of tissues, that are being shown to have no connection to the functioning of the nervous system at all.

Although our understanding of the brain becomes more comprehensive every day, our understanding of the nervous system provides no explanation for feelings, memories, emotions, gut-reactions, intuitions, or even thoughts. Scientists are looking deeper and deeper into cells and into smaller and smaller units of life?the sub-atomic level?for explanations of these processes. Although science is rapidly documenting which areas of the brain are activated by which thoughts and emotions, they are still at a loss to explain the creation of those thoughts and emotions. That the brain and the mind are the same thing and very much like a computer with its information in/information out mode of operation is an out-dated way of thinking.

The various aspects of the working of the living matrix form a composite that is beginning to give us an understanding of its physiological, psychological, and regulatory processes of living things.

Degenerative Diseases and the Living Matrix

There are a host of degenerative and chronic diseases for which modern medicine has no explanation as to cause. For example, arthritis is said to be caused by inflammation, with the inflammation caused by acid crystals in the joints, which may be the result of kidney disease/infection/insufficiency, which may be hereditary or the result of dietary factors or something unknown. Or, perhaps the inflammation is caused by physical stress, the normal wear and tear on our joints, or the effects of standing or sitting or lying down.

Perhaps chronic and degenerative diseases do not have ?causes? in the traditional ways of thinking. Science has now shown definitively that the human body is a very intimately connected, wholistic, matrix of living cells and processes. Perhaps the chronic and degenerative ailments are the result of a loss harmonious communication and cooperation within the living matrix as ancient healers believed.

Complementary and energetic modalities have long proven useful in slowing?and even reversing?chronic, degenerative diseases, immune system malfunctions, slow absorption of nutrients, and inefficient repair of injuries. Structural, movement based, energetic modalities have been shown to stimulate the body?s natural functions and bring about cooperation between the various systems of the body.

It is important that we understand and learn to work with the inter-connectedness of all organs, nerves, structures, and systems. All the systems and cells of our bodies are connected to each other by the living matrix. We are high-speed, highly efficient energy communication networks when we are healthy and well-balanced.

Living organisms, man included, have extraordinary systems of neurological sensory perception. But every sensory organ has a threshold. Reduce light or sound sufficiently and we cannot detect it with our eyes and ears because no nerve impulse is generated. Scientific researchers, working independently, are suggesting that a ?sub-threshold? stimulus (one we cannot perceive with eyes or ears) nonetheless triggers a wave pattern that moves throughout the entire living matrix. The body is alerted by subtle aspects of the environment, even though the nervous system was not. Perhaps some forms of intuition (not heaven sent inspiration, of course) can be explained in this way.

Physical and Emotional Trauma and the Living Matrix

The living matrix system is more than a high-speed communication system. It is also an enormously efficient storage system for information about the experiences of our lives. Memories of pain, injury, trauma, and the energy blockages resulting from damage to tissues is stored within the matrix. As we understand the living matrix we will be better able to remove the blockages?emotionally, physically, and energetically?and move on from emotional and physical traumas.
