(Pica) This remedy is usually suited best to thin, delicate children who are exhausted physically and mentally. Averse to potatoes, they crave other starches, chalk, charcoal, cloves, coffee or tea grounds, raw rice, and acidic foods. This remedy is a polycrest antidote for lead poisoning, which is frequently a complication of pica. Emotionally, the symptom picture of Alumen is of a mild, cheerful disposition.
