Anacardium orientale

This remedy is often used in treatments for cancer; considered an antidote to poison ivy; mental disorders, manic depressive states, hearing voices; very easily offended; forgetfulness; Alzheimer’s; eczema with intense itching.
Digestive symptoms include great emptiness in the stomach with weakness and irritability, gnawing hunger, desire to nibble, hypoglycemia—worse from fasting or missing a meal, indigestion and pain that is worse when the digestion of the last meal is complete and lasts until the next meal is taken, eating temporarily relieves all discomfort, constipation, headache worse by mental exertion and is made better by eating. The headache comes with optical illusions, flashing lights and halos.
(PREGNANCY, CHILDBIRTH AND INFANT CARE) Anacardium is not a polycrest for pregnancy but is extremely useful for those conditions in which it is indicated, usually by observing the mental and emotional symptoms. These symptoms include lack of confidence in themselves and extreme mood swings. There is often a history of verbal, physical, and/or sexual abuse with humiliation and punishment as part of the picture.
Some conditions for which Anacadium may be helpful include: morning sickness accompanied by dry heaving, headache from strong smells or mental exertion with the headache improving upon eating, constipation, and itching of the skin.
Anacadium acts on the nerves, muscles, and joints. All symptoms are better for eating. Symptoms are described as a feeling of being plugged up or having a plug blocking some passageway.
KEYNOTES: Pressing pains as if a plug in any locality. These pains are connected with neuralgia but may occur in the abdomen, eyes, head or anywhere. All symptoms better during a meal.
SANKARAN MENTALS: Leprosy miasm: in a very tight corner, completely controlled, and not allowed to move. The reaction to this perception is cruelty.
MIASM: Cancer-must somehow maintain control even though being held tightly or in a very tight corner; also the leprosy miasm.
