Migraine headache with severe vomiting; nausea not relieved by vomiting; uterine hemorrhage which starts suddenly with bright red blood, coming in gushes and often with nausea, vomiting and faintness; deficiency of ideas (an opposite reaction to above description); impatient and demanding, even childlike about it—doesn’t actually know what is wanted but wants it right now.
(Whooping Cough) Ipecacuanha is for the child that becomes blue or pale with the loss of breath. There is great nausea; Ipec provides relief from the vomiting.

The nausea is not relieved by vomiting—rather there is the desire to vomit again, continuously. Ipecacuanha is useful in pregnancy if the symptom picture fits, but is more often a flu and food poisoning remedy.
