Podophyllum peltatum

In digestive difficulties Podophyllum peltatum affects mostly the duodenum, small intestines, and liver. Hemorrhoids. Prolapsed uterus. Stools yellow with undigested food. Dislike of change. Mind going quickly from one subject to another.

(Hepatitis) This remedy’s leading indication is a history of repeated (chronic) jaundice. There is pain in the right hypochondrium. Another keynote is that the person has never been completely well since the first attack of hepatitis. Mental keynotes are an irritable temperament with suicidal thoughts.

(Cholera) There is vomiting, of course, but the keynote symptom is the watery diarrhea. There is a distinct lack of appetite, and everything eaten, no matter how mild, aggravates. The vomit is hot and frothy and belches smell like rotten eggs.

KEYNOTE: Alternating conditions—headache/diarrhea, diarrhea/constipation, hot/cold; most afflictions will be on the right side of the body.
