(Pregnancy, Childbirth and Infant Care) Ricinus is useful for increasing the milk supply and producing milk in women who have not been able to nurse a baby previously. A keynote symptom is the swelling of the glands auxiliary to the breasts accompanied by pain running down the arms.
Ricinus also has a use in a small percentage of women for persistent nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea accompanied by chilliness. There will be rice water stools (pale, nearly clear, and very liquid) and nearly clear vomit.
