The following is a small amount of information on each of the INGREDIENTS of this combination.

EQUISETUM HYEMALE (horsetail) Equisetum is a deep acting anti-sycotic (miasmic). There will be confusion of sounds with a dull, transient pain and stiff feeling behind left mastoid. This remedy is often used in bladder infections and to support the kidney and bladder during infectious attacks. Symptoms include nocturnal bed-wetting with the bed-wetting being more common only when the child dreams.

NATRUM MURIATICUM (sodium chloride) With Nat mur there is a tendency to catch colds, have hay fever, or suffer from a wide range of allergies. The mucus membranes will be dry and then, alternatively, produce white or clear, acrid discharges. There will be buzzing, humming, ringing, and roaring in the ears, as well as great weakness and weariness with the weakness felt in the morning even before leaving the bed. Other symptoms are cold limbs and coldness along the spine, eyes sensitive to light with the light causing tears to stream down the face. Emotionally, Nat mur people are depressed with feelings of isolation, the isolation being brought on by their own reserved and introverted personalities.

VIOLA ODORATA (sweet-scented violet) Viola’s most specific and wide-ranging action is on the ears. Congestive type headaches hold the secondary place in the remedy picture. Physical symptoms include pain in the ears that continues into the eyeballs, frequent ear infections beginning almost at birth, stitching pain beneath the ears, and roaring sounds in the ears. Mental and emotional symptoms include a description of childish behaviors including—but not limited to—weeping with no explanation, refusing to eat what was just demanded, and an ornery aversion to morning.
